There’s plenty of reasons why we are excited to have CITY OF TREES be a part of the 19th annual Brooklyn Film Festival. Here’s our top 5.

Over the past two weeks, we have had the unique opportunity to screen City of Trees for staff and stakeholders at the US Department of Agriculture/Forest Service and US Department of Labor. At both screenings, the film spurred honest and thoughtful conversations about opportunities and challenges in job training, urban forestry and programs serving youth and returning citizens.

Meridian Hill Pictures’ award-winning feature-length documentary CITY OF TREES — directed by Brandon Kramer and produced by Lance Kramer — will have its U.S. television premiere Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 8 p.m. on WORLD Channel (check local listings), as part of the fourth season of AMERICA REFRAMED, public media’s newest documentary series hosted by Natasha Del Toro. The film will also be available for free streaming on www.worldchannel.org starting April 20, 2016.

The D.C. Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment (OCTFME) has announced that it will be a sponsor of the 2016 DC Environmental Film Festival (DCEFF) for the second consecutive year. We are honored to announce CITY OF TREES was named an official selection in the New Docs program at the esteemed Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham, NC from April 7-10, 2016. One of the nation’s premier documentary film festivals, Full Frame celebrates its 19th annual festival this April.

CITY OF TREES will have a Maryland premiere at the Annapolis Film Festival on April 3.

CITY OF TREES will have a dual-DC premiere at the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital this March.

CITY OF TREES will have its midwest premiere as an official selection in the 24th annual St. Louis International Film Festival on Sunday, Nov. 8.
